About Me...

Hello! My name is Daniele Nonnenmacher, I am a Brazilian psychologist and psychotherapist who has been living in London since 2016. I am deeply passionate about exploring human subjectivity and understanding how our emotions and behaviours influence our relationships, physical health, and shape the trajectory of our lives. I also have a keen interest in women’s mental health and the impact of migration on individuals' lives.

My academic background includes a Master's degree in Health Science (FMUSP), along with postgraduate degrees and extensive professional practice in Health Psychology (HC-FMUSP) and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (IPq - HCFMUSP). To enhance my expertise, I also have trained as a Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist in London (Roehampton University).

I am currently practicing as a psychologist and psychotherapist, providing short-term and open-ended therapy in both Portuguese and English. Services are available for adult individuals through in-person and online sessions, each lasting 50 minutes.

How Therapy Can Help You...

  Psychotherapy is a process that aims to address issues related to the psyche and emotional health, based on principles and techniques from psychology and psychopathology. Its goal is to assist the client in both self-discovery and the pursuit of more constructive strategies to cope with conflicting situations in personal, professional, or family life. Psychotherapy can also be a supportive process during challenging and stressful periods, such as the beginning of a career, hospitalization, or even a divorce or grieving process.

Step 1:

This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss the reasons for your search. During this time, we can clarify any doubts you may have about the services, creating a welcoming space to explore your expectations and concerns.

 

Step 2: Initial

Session

In the first session, we'll dedicate our time to discussing your needs and understanding how the therapeutic sessions work. We'll address the therapeutic contract and clarify any doubts related to therapy, as well as briefly explore your personal journey. During this initial dialogue, we'll discuss relevant aspects of your history and your expectations regarding therapy. This step is crucial for establishing the necessary foundations for a possible start to your therapeutic journey.

 
 

Step 3:

Following Sessions

In subsequent sessions, we'll have the opportunity to delve deeper into the themes you bring, grounding our work in the essential pillars of the therapeutic relationship: empathy and genuineness. My aim is to create a safe and nurturing space where you feel comfortable to share and explore your experiences more deeply. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes understanding and growth as we work together towards achieving your goals
